Communications & Media Professionals
Right now, we urgently need Communications Professionals to support organisations and co-operatives in countries such as India, Kenya, Ghana or Uganda.
Our placements in this area are diverse. You could work on income generating activities and funding proposals or you might offer consultancy in documentation, report writing, promotion techniques or campaigning.
You normally need a degree level qualification in Communications, Journalism, PR or other related fields, as well as at least 3 years' experience in communications strategy development, web content development, documentation and database management knowledge. Communications management experience is desirable. You might also want to check if you’ve got the right skills for our Advocacy jobs. And if you’ve got management experience, your skills might be transferable to a management placement.

Marketing Professionals
VSO needs Marketing Professionals to support organisations and co-operatives in countries such as India, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Cambodia, Gambia or Guyana.
Our placements in this area are diverse. You could work on income generating activities and funding proposals or you might offer consultancy in documentation, report writing, promotion techniques or campaigning.
You need a degree in Marketing as well as at least 3 years' post-qualification experience in developing marketing strategies for organisations and managing a team. Some placements are also looking for businesses development skills. Management roles usually require a minimum of 5 years marketing management experience. If you’ve got significant management experience, your skills might be transferable to a Management Adviser placement. Similarly, you might be interested in our Fundraiser or Advocacy volunteer jobs.
